Hallmark Circuits automates process planning with InPlan™ from Orbotech

Billerica, MA – September 23, 2004 –Orbotech Inc., the North American subsidiary of Orbotech Ltd., today announced the successful, operation-wide installation of InPlan™ automated manufacturing process planning software at Hallmark Circuits, a California-based manufacturer specializing in time-critical printed circuit boards.

“Automating the planning process is key to Hallmark's goal of reducing pre-production cycle times while increasing the accuracy of the information provided to the production floor," said Tom White, CEO of Hallmark Circuits.  “Orbotech was the only supplier that could provide us with a production-proven solution that is fully-integrated with our CAM and ERP systems.  By using InPlan to drive our planning processes, we can exceed our goals and provide our customers with the world class service they have come to expect from Hallmark Circuits."

Mr. Barry Cohen, President of Orbotech, Inc., said: “Hallmark had been a long-time user of Orbotech’s advanced pre-production engineering software solutions. We are proud that they have selected us again and applaud their vision and commitment to implementing this project at a time when investing in one’s business has not been easy.  They are one of the growing number of InPlan users worldwide that are gaining important competitive advantages by streamlining and automating their front-end applications.”

InPlan, developed by Frontline PCB Solutions™, an Orbotech Valor company, is an integrated rules-driven process planning system that automatically utilizes rules and specification information to speed up cycle time and reduce costs, supporting a 'plan anywhere, build anyplace' environment.
